Vomela in Springfield, VA is seeking an experienced Cutter Operator to support our thriving commercial print operation. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate industrial cutter equipment (36"-59" programmable cutters).
- Read, understand, and execute job tickets with precise size specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of cut materials across various substrates.
- Troubleshoot cutter equipment and identify production issues proactively.
- Maintain workflow efficiency to meet production deadlines.
- Work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Support general bindery and finishing operations as needed.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating programmable cutters (Polar or similar).
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to inspect materials for accuracy and quality.
- Computer literate, with the ability to follow digital job tickets and workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet production demands.
- Knowledge of printing processes and various print substrates.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Fast-paced commercial print manufacturing setting.
- Collaborate with prepress, press, and finishing teams to ensure high-quality output.
