MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
As a SharePoint Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our client. You will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing SharePoint environments for our organization. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical expertise in SharePoint site management, configuration, workflow development, and performance optimization. This role is critical in designing and enhancing SharePoint solutions, providing operations and maintenance (O&M) support, and ensuring compliance with IT standards and best practices.
- Assessing and validating SharePoint and web‑based requirements to meet business objectives.
- Designing and optimizing SharePoint workflow architectures for improved functionality and efficiency.
- Redesigning existing SharePoint applications to add new features, optimize functionality, improve scalability, and enhance stability and performance.
- Providing operations and maintenance (O&M) support for SharePoint environments, including content management, troubleshooting, and issue remediation.
- Creating and developing new SharePoint sites based on user requirements.
- Education: BA/BS in Information Technology or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Experience: 10+ years of related experience
- Technical skills required:
- Demonstrated experience managing SharePoint environments
- Expertise as a Site Collection Administrator (SCA)
- Proven experience working with users to identify, validate, and prioritize SharePoint site requirements and issues
- Strong knowledge of assigning, editing, and maintaining SharePoint user roles and permissions
- Hands‑on experience implementing SharePoint configuration changes for issue resolution and compliance with IT best practices or industry standards
- Ability to create and enhance SharePoint workflow architectures
- Experience migrating, configuring, and developing SharePoint sites to improve functionality and user experience
- Demonstrated experience optimizing SharePoint environments for stability, scalability, and performance
- Certification: Security+ certification (or equivalent).
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience supporting backend SharePoint architecture
- Certification as a SharePoint Administrator
- Demonstrated experience as a SharePoint Designer
- Expertise updating user documents and libraries within SharePoint environments
- Experience creating user manuals and documentation for SharePoint users
- Familiarity with SharePoint Site Collection Administration within the sponsor’s organization
The likely salary range for this position is $169,604 - $229,464. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
