Cybersecurity, Systems Administrator
Akkodis is seeking a Network Administrator for a Contract with a client in Springfield, VA. Candidates must have strong expertise in network configuration and troubleshooting, while overseeing system upgrades and implementing robust security protocols.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
- Configure and maintain network security protocols, including VPNs, firewalls, and access controls to protect organizational data.
- Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure compliance with security standards and prevent vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to support network upgrades, migrations, and integration of new technologies.
- Document network configurations and procedures, maintaining accurate records for audits and future reference.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in network administration, including managing LAN/WAN environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $60.00 per hour
