Base Pay Range$71,000 – $150,000 per year
Job SummaryHII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting‑edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of the Cyber and Intelligence division, supporting enterprise‑level security and modernization across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high‑impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission‑critical systems and environments, scheduled to launch in early 2026.
An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability assessments for total systems.
- Conduct analyses at all product levels: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Translate customer or product requirements into total system solutions that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Support software‑based system architecture development.
- Participate in requirements analysis, interface definition, and system validation activities.
- Assist with technical troubleshooting, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain system documentation (ICDs, architecture diagrams, data flow models, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, security, and program teams in an Agile environment.
- Own system architecture definition, requirements baselining, interface control, and roadmap planning.
- Lead multi‑team integration efforts across secure cloud, distributed, or hybrid environments.
- Direct technical reviews, risk assessments, design decisions, and configuration control.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and serve as the primary technical liaison to PMO and customer stakeholders.
- Ensure system and software solutions align with Zero‑Trust, cyber accreditation, and mission requirements.
- TS/SCI clearance required; CI Poly clearance as needed.
- Proven ability to architect large‑scale, mission‑critical software systems in DoD/IC environments.
- Deep background in security, observability, scalability, and resilient system design.
- Experience leading technical execution in programs with ATO, RMF, or classified deployment milestones.
- Strong ability to translate mission objectives into implementable technical capabilities.
- Education and experience requirements vary by level:
- Systems Engineer 1:
Bachelor’s or equivalent and 0 yrs of experience (or 4 yrs with high‑school diploma). - Systems Engineer 2:
Bachelor’s and 2+ yrs of experience (or 6 yrs with high‑school diploma). - Systems Engineer 3:
Bachelor’s and 5+ yrs of experience (or 9 yrs with high‑school diploma). - Systems Engineer 4:
Bachelor’s and 9+ yrs of experience (or 13 yrs with high‑school diploma).
- Systems Engineer 1:
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting.
- Proficiency with specialized tools or software aligned to the role.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
