Network Security Engineer - Mid-Atlantic region (Remote - EST preferred)

This position is hybrid; candidates must live within 50 miles of DC or be able to reach the office within an hour.

• Infrastructure Security Stack, Development, Implementation, Integration
• Implement and maintain network security policies, including ACLs, VPN configurations, NAT policies, and firewall rule sets.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.
• Maintain documentation related to firewall configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Work with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
• Perform regular firewall rule audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Gap Analysis and Benchmarking
• Risk Assessment
• Test and Evaluation Services
• Financial Analysis
• Architecture Validation and Verification

Minimum Qualifications:

• 15 years’ experience providing network security support on programs related to network systems and infrastructure with over 5,500 field sites, 2 or more data centers/colocation facilities, and 250,000+ users
• Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification - Active
• CCNP certification – Active
• US Citizenship required
• Live within 50 mile radius of DC or be able to get into the office w/in 60 minutes
• Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years supporting DHS Wide Area Network
• 10+ years supporting DHS System ATO and C&A activities
• Experience supporting network modernization projects

Expected Annual Salary: $165,000 - $198,00
