IPMS Lead Support IV
Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) invites applications for the IPMS Lead Support IV role within the National Geospatial Intelligence Center (NGIC) Washington Field Office. The position is based in Springfield, VA (NGA Campus) and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. Remote work is not permitted.
DescriptionAs IPMS Lead Support (Level IV), you will oversee daily operations of the In‑Place Monitoring System (IPMS) console. Your responsibilities include ensuring continuous staffing of the console, monitoring, and resolving alerts or anomalies that match established threat thresholds. You will document all resolved signals in monthly and quarterly reports, report on console health status during operational disruptions, and maintain compliance with all process deadlines.
The role directly supports the NGA TSCM program, TSSC modernization objectives, and the Office of Counter‑Intelligence Technical CI Division.
- Familiarity with current TSCM and CI policy
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the garrison IPMS
- Resolve and coordinate IPMS anomalies with TSCM personnel
- Research and investigate new or improved industry practices and tradecraft for application to the agency
- Conduct daily IPMS activities, tactical analysis, strategic analysis, and scheduled maintenance tasks
- Identify and troubleshoot system malfunctions and report findings and status to the customer
- Perform RF signal‑of‑interest searches, assess and locate identified signals, and conduct TSCM operations in accord with National and DoD policies
- Ensure NGA compliance with ICD 705, Physical Security Standards for SCIFs, and DoD collateral area standards
- Identify physical and acoustical security deficiencies, develop corrective actions, and provide cost‑effective recommendations
- Assist with day‑to‑day monitoring and maintenance of the IPMS program to sustain mission functionality and authorization to operate
- Ensure all personnel assigned to the IPMS mission are trained and qualified in accordance with National standards
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience writing and editing technical documents
- Proficiency in RF theory and direction‑finding
- Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Certification
- Completion of at least 40 hours of discipline‑specific development or refresher training annually
- Meeting DoD 8570.01‑M IAT2 baseline certification within one calendar year of assignment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
- Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (e.g., FBI Academy)
- Estimated travel of 10‑25% to NGA facilities and other government locations as mission dictates
