Are you ready to make an impact on national security by solving complex systems engineering challenges?
We're seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG),
Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this role, you'll contribute to the full systems engineering lifecycle to help deliver timely, accurate, and mission-critical GEOINT capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including:
- Requirements analysis and traceability
- Solution architecture and systems integration
- Scheduling and service development
- Reliability and resiliency engineering
- Testing, evaluation, and maintainability
- Analyze user needs, workflows, and system architectures to enhance system performance, automation, and cloud service capabilities
- Develop and design technical solutions based on evolving requirements and emerging technologies
- Mentor junior engineers in technical processes and best practices
- Support the Government in translating mission needs into system and capability requirements
- Assist in allocating requirements across system architecture components and programs
- Contribute to systems integration and interoperability efforts
- Support trade studies and decision‑making activities, including:
- Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
- Courses of Action (CoAs)
- Engineering Assessments
- Assist in strategic planning and project execution, including:
- Technical planning
- Performance engineering
- Risk management
- Interface design
- Reliable in dynamic mission environments
- Resilient to disruption
- Responsive to evolving national security needs

Required QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in:
- Systems Engineering
- OR related technical/scientific fields such as:
- Engineering, Physics, Mathematics
- Operations Research
- Engineering Management
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Management Information Systems
- Other STEM-related disciplines
- OR 9 years of Systems Engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
- DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes
- Requirements development processes
- PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System)
- Systems engineering for large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environments
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- OR ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages
- Software Development Frameworks
- Familiarity with geospatial-related technical areas, including:
- Photogrammetry
- Remote sensing
- Image science
- Information sciences
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Geomatics
- Related geospatial fields
Certifications & Professional Involvement
- INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification
- Documented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) field
- Membership or active participation in professional organizations such as:
- ACSM - American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
- ASCE - American Society of Civil Engineers
- ASPRS - American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
- OGC - Open Geospatial Consortium
- SAREM - Society for American Remote Earth Monitoring
- USGIF - United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation
Mission Knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of the current:
- NSG - National System for Geospatial-Intelligence
- ASG - Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence
- NRO - National Reconnaissance Office enterprise
