Position OverviewThe Emergency Client Service Representative supports a high-volume veterinary hospital, performing clerical and customer-service tasks to help patients and families receive timely care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a warm greeting and top-notch customer service in person and over the phone.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean exam rooms, lobby, and mail areas.
- Identify and support clients in various emotional states and handle basic medical emergencies appropriately.
- Coordinate the flow of pets and owners in the lobby, placating distorted waits or scheduling issues.
- Assist owners with medication pickup, dietary products, and billing questions.
- Input data into practice-management software, manage records, and compile reports.
- Perform cashiering duties, processing refunds, returns, and payment plans.
- Weigh pets, obtain previous records, and reconcile the cashier drawer.
- Use Windows-based computer systems, word processing, email, and web search.
- Complete end-of-day duties and perform other tasks assigned by Hospital Manager or Medical Director.
- High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous reception experience in an emergency veterinary hospital.
- Strong typing and computer usage skills.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures (filing, alphabetizing).
- Excellent customer-service skills, cashiering ability, and multitasking capacity.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift or carry moderately heavy animals (up to 50 lb).
- Over two years of experience as an ER receptionist.
- Full Time:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday – 10:30 a–11 p. - Part Time:
Monday 7 a–7:30 p, Saturday 10:30 a–11 p. - Part Time:
Monday, Tuesday 7 a–7:30 p.

Pay Range: $20—$23 USD.
