Motion Media Specialist – Senior

Bowhead is seeking a Motion Media Specialist, Senior to support a visual communications effort in Springfield, VA. The Motion Media Specialist, Senior will lead and provide oversight of all video production with direction of the government.

• Edits video and incorporates graphics, text, music and other elements as required.
• Advises clients on the use of audio and video tools to meet communication and outreach objectives.
• Works with the Program Manager to select and manage professional talent.
• Provides the processes (art, science and practice) of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, electronically by means of an image sensor, and the product (photographs) which are generated as needed.
• Provides high quality, professional digital photography to include, but not limited to portrait and on‑scene photography.
• On‑scene photography can involve accident investigations, building maintenance, events, award ceremonies, group photos, and photo‑journalism.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 10 years of relevant experience in video production and 3‑5 years of experience in photography.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of field/studio audio, video, and lighting equipment; experience with webcasting procedures, switched productions, and client relations.
• Minimum of five years of experience using nonlinear video editing systems.
• Experience using Nikon digital camera systems and Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Must currently hold or be able to obtain a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret/SCI clearance at this location.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
