Hours: MON-THURS, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am
Pay: $25.29/hr. plus $0.50/hr. differential pay

Summary:

Incumbent performs a variety of welding, brazing and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment while observing safety regulations and engaging in UNARCO’s Total Quality Management philosophy. Maintains a clean work area, free of wood, banding material, and other debris and dunnage. Performs other duties as directed by Management.

• Receives instructions for job from area supervisor or leadman.
• Fabricates parts by welding various parts as required by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, sets up, assembles and welds parts.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day.
• Must meet or exceed production standards.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to pass company entry level welding and tape tests.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written orders.
• Must be able to weld a visually acceptable bead.
• Must be able to count and sort products.
• Must be able to read all blue prints.
• Must be able to complete inventory tickets.
• Must be able to set up welding machines.
• Must have manual dexterity skills.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 years’ experience in welding or less.
