Full-time Operating Room Charge Nurse (Orthopedic service line) - Schedule:
four 10-hour Day shifts each week, - Unit: 25 state‑of‑art Surgery Suites

Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon – 350‑bed acute care regional medical center with a Level II trauma center
Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend is a beautiful hospital situated along the McKenzie River in Springfield, Oregon. Located an hour from the Pacific Ocean and 2 hours south of Portland, Springfield and its sister city Eugene are adventure‑driven destinations. What We Offer- A wage range of $49.30 – $77.46 with an additional $6/hr Charge Nurse differential. Hiring rate is based on RN work experience and Oregon Nurses Association collective bargaining agreement.

- Coordinate patient care for the Operating Room
- Supervise and assess clinical practice; direct and delegate to other team members
- Coach for performance to achieve individual and organizational goals, including orientation, competencies and evaluations
- Develop the departmental team and collaborative relationships to achieve expected outcomes
- Serve as a clinical and resource expert for the department
- Articulate shift/team operational issues to management as appropriate
- Appropriate stewardship of resources
- Adapt decision‑making style to the situation and level of authority for achieving an optimal outcome, using collaborative decision making and effective communication skills
- Identify and apply opportunities for clinical practice improvement and support them with staff
- Ensure professional effectiveness through education and professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Accredited School of Nursing required
- BSN required within 36 months from the start date
- Specialty nursing certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years RN experience circulating in full service OR
- Preferred 3 years acute care nursing experience
- Oregon State Registered Nurse License required
- Basic Life Support certification required upon hire
- Demonstrated leadership skills (required)
- Facilitation skills (preferred)
- Knowledge of age‑specific principles of growth and development and ability to apply them to meet each patient’s needs (required)
- Ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and a patient/family‑centered work environment (required)
- Consistently demonstrates service excellence behaviors with patients, families and colleagues (required)
- Ability to support and interpret the medical center’s philosophy, policies and procedures (required)
- Ability to balance patient, staff and unit needs in decision‑making (required)

- Proficient in computer skills including MS Office applications (required)
- Patient handling not greater than 35 lbs without assistive equipment
- Fine motor skills for grasping and controlling medical equipment and performing precise procedures
- Push/pull up to 45 lbs force (e.g., medical carts)
