Overview
Peace Health is seeking a Clinical Supervisor Behavioral Health/Crisis for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for this job opening at Peace Health is $49.64 – $74.46. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for taking leadership position related to admissions, length of stay and discharges. Provides operational leadership and guidance to Clinical Social Workers, RN Patient Transition Coordinator and Therapists. Takes a leadership position in the development of the therapeutic program, relying on evidence-based practices. Develops policies and procedures related to the role and function of Clinical Social Workers, RN Care Manager, Therapists and unit-wide issues.
Works with the management team in creating a culture of patient safety, healing, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Works with management team to create a culture of support and respect.
- Supervise all aspects of care delivery related to Mental Health Evaluators and Consult Support Therapists.
- Manage patient flow through the service by assessing admissions referrals for appropriateness in partnership with the ED physician; monitoring patient data related to crisis services; collaborating with ED and BHS clinical staff for difficult disposition and care issues; and monitoring timeliness of referral responses for consult service.
- Develop and implement guidelines and practices for the Mental Health Evaluators and Consult Support Therapists. Work with management team and physician team to address service issues to develop relevant strategies and practice.
- Evaluate work performance and conduct performance assessments. Responsible for hiring, discipline and termination of clinical staff. Acknowledge and celebrate successes.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the larger mental health community and with all aspects of Peace Health Behavioral Health.
- Behavioral Health resource for commitment ORS’s and OAR’s.
- Ensure that services are provided in compliance with all regulatory standards, departmental policies and procedures and ethical codes of individual discipline.
- Provide direct patient care as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree
Required:
Social Work or related field - Master's Degree
Required:
Psychology or a closely-related field - Minimum of 3 years
Required:
Leadership experience - Minimum of 2 years
Required:
Acute psychiatric experience within the last five years - Minimum of 3 years
Required:
Community mental health experience - Demonstrates strong leadership abilities
