Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.
Superior Trim Springfield is looking to add a quality engineer that is focused on positively impacting plant quality.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
A successful candidate will have:
- Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred.
- ASQ certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Education:
Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred. - Experience:
2+ years in quality engineering, QA, or similar role. - Licenses &
Certifications:
ASQ certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Project management capabilities.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
- Interest in driving quality improvements and process excellence.
- Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred.
- 2+ years in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- ASQ certification preferred.
