Stepdown Qualified RN - Observation Unit

Dysrhythmia Exam Required (Study Guide Available)

Neuro exp preferred;
Must have BLS, ACLS and NIHSS; 12 HR Nights;
Every 3rd weekend; every other holiday; 36 or 48 GTE

• 10-bed Observation Unit
• Responsible for monitoring and assessing patients with various conditions, including those requiring neuro and cardiac observation.
• Conduct neuro assessments, including NIHSS, for patients with neurological concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor for side effects.
• Work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to assess patient conditions and determine the need for further care or discharge.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment plans, and next steps.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
• Nurse ratio 6:1 with 1 tech; once hit 7 patients it goes to 2 nurses without a tech.
