** Job Description s:
**** Essential Function:
** Join the team at Silfex as a Manufacturing Technician and launch your career in high-tech production! In this hands-on role, you’ll receive full training to operate a variety of advanced machines that play a key part in creating precision components for the semiconductor industry. From engraving and waterjet cutting to cleaning, lapping, and polishing, you’ll learn to master equipment that transforms raw materials into high-performance parts.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Operate machines that support the Silfex manufacturing and finishing processes
* Learn and perform 5S in and around work area by enacting lock out/tag out
* Develop proficiency in 1–2 designated processes through hands-on training and experience
* Learn and apply Silfex policies and procedures to perform routine tasks effectively and safely
* Follow all material handling requirements to ensure quality of product and equipment
* Read and interpret assembly drawings, follow all work instructions, setup sheets and process specifications
* Record quality and production data accurately and promptly in batch records, ERP systems, and productivity or quality logs
* Ensure cleanliness of the area and perform general and routine housekeeping tasks
* Ensure equipment is functioning properly by performing routine and minor maintenance. Initiate maintenance work orders when necessary to support operational efficiency.
* Develop and maintain competency in basic troubleshooting of equipment
* Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate
* Perform other duties and projects as assigned

* Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.  Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities.  Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.
