General Description / Primary Purpose
The Maintenance Certified Master Technician performs tasks to maintain, install and troubleshoot food processing equipment, motors, starters, and building infrastructure (overhead doors/docks, HVAC, pallet wrappers). This position will support the production process by reducing equipment down time through accurate and effective trouble shooting and making equipment repairs in a timely manner.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks/Duties of the Position- Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate chlorine and ammonia systems.
- Tig weld stainless steel in a sanitary environment.
- Adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF), and GMP’s.
- Repair/finish drywall and paint.
- Install 460V motors, starters, and disconnects.
- Install and troubleshoot control circuits, panels, and program PLC’s.
- Perform preventative maintenance on docks and doors.
- Must understand 1000
CFM air compressor systems, including air dryers. - Other duties as assigned.
