Position Summary
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Preferred Qualifications- ICD-10 coding knowledge.
- Experience with medical records.
- Collect, assemble, check, and file charts as required.
- Ensure closure of discharged resident records by organizing them in an orderly fashion.
- Track and monitor the release of discharged resident records.
- Complete thinning of resident records in a timely and orderly manner.
- Ensure physician orders are signed in a timely manner.
- Ensure death certificates are included in closed charts.
- Maintain a record of authorized information released from charts/records.
- Abstract information from records as authorized/required for insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, etc.
