We believe in the power of lived experience and are looking for a Peer Support Specialist to provide guidance, support, and encouragement to those in need.
Position TypeFull-Time
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients navigating withdrawal and recovery processes.
- Share personal experiences and coping strategies to foster trust and understanding.
- Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans, including establishing goals and connecting with community resources.
- Facilitate peer support groups and workshops, promoting a sense of community among participants.
- Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure holistic care and support for all clients.
- Certification as a Peer Support Specialist
- Personal experience with addiction and recovery is essential.
- Previous experience in peer support, counseling, or social services is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compassion.
