Job Summary:

Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations, including counseling, education, and referrals for military service members and their families.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modalities (web‑based chat, secure video).
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
• Participate in in‑services/training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required (associate degree with 4 years of experience or high school diploma with 6 years of experience may be considered).
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual English and Spanish if required.
• Ability to obtain favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI).
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
