Job Description:

Wittenberg University's Biology Program invites applications for a tenure track position in biology focused on molecular neurobiology beginning August 1, 2026. This position will support our Neuroscience, Biology, and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Programs. Teaching responsibilities include an introductory course in the Neuroscience major (Foundations in Neuroscience) and upper-level courses in the candidate's specialty with a molecular/cellular focus. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to the general education program, service courses within the department, and to provide undergraduate research opportunities.

Funding is available to support faculty research with students, travel to professional meetings, and other professional development.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. in a biological related field is required; candidates that are ABD working toward degree completion will be considered. Candidates must have a strong commitment and interest in teaching in the liberal arts and sciences context.
