Overview Of Position

The Shared Services Operations Specialist handles the dispositioning of insurance claim checks on behalf of our financial institution clients, directly impacting the timeliness and accuracy of property damage claims. This role requires proven ability to manage deadlines and meet quality standards with accuracy and consistent attention to detail. It also requires the use of good judgment to solve problems and make business‑appropriate decisions consistent with Assurant procedures and best practices.

This role requires to go into the Springfield office: 1 Assurant Way, Springfield, OH 45505

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for processing insurance claim checks, maintenance, or research.
  • May perform monetary functional transactions such as posting deposits to client servicing system.
  • Make appropriate updates to client database in order to meet regulatory obligation.
  • Manage time to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • May work in multi‑functional areas with multiple clients.
  • Handle other duties and projects as requested on business needs.
  • Maintain and update procedure knowledge on an ongoing basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.
Department‑Specific Duties
  • Job duties may vary based on Shared Services department of assignment. Shared Services Specialist would be responsible for the primary duties listed above along with their specific duties by function.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft office including Excel and Power Point
  • Good oral and written communication skills and professional etiquette
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
  • 1‑year experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing, or related experience
Pay Range

$16.23 - $25.16
