Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles with proper documentation in accordance with DOT guidelines.

* Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.

* Monitor vehicle gauges during operation and maintain accurate mileage logs.

* Always follow all company policies and safety procedures.

* Adhere to applicable laws and dispatch instructions.

* Ensure product quality through proper handling procedures.

* Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; escalate major issues to supervisors.

* Keep vehicles clean and organized.

* Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

* Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Must obtain a CDL B Permit from the local DMV.

Work Requirements

* At least 21 years of age.

* Ability to obtain a valid CDL permit.

* Successful completion of DOT physical, drug screening, and criminal background check.

* Possession of a valid DOT medical card.

* Strict adherence to safety standards and company policies.

* Team player willing to assist co-workers and supervisors as needed.

* Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to colleagues and the public.

* Maintain a current driver's license meeting state and company requirements (CDL, Class

B).

* Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet company and DOT standards.

* Ability to work up to six days per week, including significant overtime (55-70 hours/week), per DOT ready mix exemption laws.

* Willingness to travel and work away from home as required.

* Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules.

* Commitment to training employees with a CDL Class B license, even if they lack driving experience.

* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA/MSHA, including face shield, safety shoes, and safety vest.

* Compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations.

Knowledge & Skills

* The ability to learn and demonstrate operational skills with mixer trucks and related equipment.

* Basic reading, writing, and math skills for records and project documents.

* Operate equipment safely and efficiently in diverse conditions.

* Comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.

* Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

* Work well independently and as part of a team, maintaining attention to detail.

* Operate heavy, complex equipment with skill and independent judgment.

* Familiarity with securing heavy equipment and oversized loads.

* Professional interaction with customers, including payment collection and issue resolution.

Physical &

Work Environment Requirements

* Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.

* Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.

* Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.

* Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

* Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.

* Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.

* Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
