Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and logistics, is seeking a Shipping and Material Handler to join their team. As a Shipping and Material Handler, you will be part of the Purchasing and Shipping department supporting operations in Springfield, MO. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping and Material Handler
Location: Springfield, MO
Pay Range: Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30-4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Prepare and process outbound shipments, including creating and maintaining Bills of Lading (BOLs) and all related documents
- Coordinate with third‑party logistics providers to initiate and track material movements
- Ensure accuracy of Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) and monitor shipment loading onto carriers
- Respond to Proof of Delivery (POD) inquiries and monitor delivery compliance through customer portals
- Verify incoming materials and maintain records of shipment labels and inventory reports
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of data entry experience
- 2-4 years of purchasing experience with knowledge of supply chain management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
