Logistics Specialist

This position is responsible for optimizing the transportation of goods by efficiently planning and organizing non-O’Reilly fleet shipments. Primary duties include planning, coordinating and monitoring pickup and delivery of shipments to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

• Utilize transportation management software to plan and optimize routes for shipments
• Schedule and coordinate shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Monitor transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Resolve transportation-related issues such as delays and route deviations
• Process inquiries for rate estimates and service times
• Perform freight cost analysis on transportation expenses for shipments and special projects
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests related to shipments
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain operations
• All other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer operations

• Prior experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software
• Prior logistics and/or shipping/receiving experience
