Mobile Unit Operator Job Description.
ScheduleMonday‑Friday. Availability needed 3:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. to schedule an 8–14 hour shift Monday‑Friday. Weekly overtime available. Paid travel time in a company vehicle.
Benefits- Starting pay: $18.00‑$19.00 DOE
- $500 sign‑on bonus after 6 months of employment

- Drives assigned vehicle to and from sites in a lawful and safe manner.
- Loads, unloads and reloads equipment and supplies according to daily requirements.
- Assumes responsibility for proper storage and handling of blood.
- Responsible for the care and disposal of biohazardous material.
- Performs paperwork related to daily operations.
- Performs blood container labeling functions as assigned.
- Assists collections staff with donor reactions.
- Provides customer service and demonstrates a positive attitude.
- Adheres to established dress code.
- Assists with observational aspects of new MUO training at bloodmobile site.
- Knowledgeable of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and regulations and maintains log books and related information accurately and completely.
- Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and external customers.
- Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness and efficiency within specific job tasks.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
- Able to stand continuously for a minimum of six hours.
- Able to climb in and out of truck cab and cargo box.
- Hand and finger dexterity.
- Able to load and unload all mobile equipment (approximately up to 100 pound range).
- Visual and auditory acuity.
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
- Prior experience in truck driving, or driving large vehicles.
- Must have a current Missouri class E driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must be 25 years old to be eligible for the company’s auto insurance policy.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
- Able to comply with overnight travel schedule and flexible working hours.
