Wastewater Video Technician Trainee

The City of Springfield’s Environmental Services Clean Water Division is seeking a trainee to assist with sewer inspections and rehabilitation. As a trainee you will receive on‑the‑job training and work with a two‑person crew to operate cameras, acoustic devices, and GPS equipment on miles of sewer pipe.

• Assist with internal pipe inspections using CCTV and manhole cameras.
• Operate acoustic sound devices and sewer scanners to assess pipe conditions.
• Collect and document GPS coordinate information.
• Support crew in evaluating and reporting sewer maintenance needs.

• Minimum one year of experience in sewer repair, computer-related work, or a related field.
• Vocational or technical training in construction or computer areas acceptable.

• Valid driver’s license.

• PACP and MACP certification.
