Wastewater Video Technician Trainee
OverviewThe City of Springfield’s Environmental Services Clean Water Division is seeking a trainee to assist with sewer inspections and rehabilitation. As a trainee you will receive on‑the‑job training and work with a two‑person crew to operate cameras, acoustic devices, and GPS equipment on miles of sewer pipe.
Responsibilities- Assist with internal pipe inspections using CCTV and manhole cameras.
- Operate acoustic sound devices and sewer scanners to assess pipe conditions.
- Collect and document GPS coordinate information.
- Support crew in evaluating and reporting sewer maintenance needs.
- Minimum one year of experience in sewer repair, computer-related work, or a related field.
- Vocational or technical training in construction or computer areas acceptable.
- Valid driver’s license.
- PACP and MACP certification.
