The Oasis Hotel & Convention Center is a full-service property offering 173 guest rooms and over 30,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. It houses the Fire & Ice Restaurant & Bar, Springfield’s only ice bar. The hotel is guided by core values:

The Breakfast Cook is responsible for the preparation and presentation of the hotel’s complimentary hot breakfast.
Responsibilities- Preparation of the Hotel’s complimentary hot breakfast
- Know and consistently comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies and procedures
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service
- Assume 100% responsibility for product quality
- Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
- Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices
- Handle, store and rotate products properly
- Assist in food prep assignments
- Close the kitchen following all closing checklists provided by the Executive Chef
- Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and front‑of‑house associates
- Assist in various areas of the hotel’s Food & Beverage outlets
- Other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef/Executive Chef
- Excellent communication, guest service and time management skills
- Able to organize, plan ahead and manage workload
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and multi‑tasked environment
- Dependable and energetic
- Previous experience cooking in large volume preferred
- Early morning shift with flexibility to work based on business demands
- Constant standing and walking; frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping
- Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs; pushing and pulling is minimal
- Indoor working conditions in a fast‑paced environment
