Full‑time Keeper 1, located in Springfield, MO. Salary: $16.00 per hour

Your daily responsibilities will include: providing high‑quality care for a diverse array of animals; ensuring habitats are clean, safe, and enriching; assisting in feeding schedules; monitoring animal health; maintaining detailed observation records; routine maintenance of exhibits; and participating in the preparation and presentation of animal programs for visitors. You will collaborate closely with team members, troubleshoot and problem‑solve any issues that arise in animal care and facility operations.
Your role will also involve continuous learning about wildlife behavior and care techniques, and actively contributing to a fun and dynamic workplace culture that emphasizes customer focus and high performance.
To be successful as a Full‑time Keeper 1 at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, a strong understanding of animal behavior and biology is essential, as it enables you to assess their needs and foster their well‑being effectively. Excellent communication skills are necessary for educating visitors and collaborating with colleagues, ensuring seamless teamwork in a bustling environment. Problem‑solving abilities are vital, as are a strong work ethic, attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
