Job Overview

Travel Neuro RN Registered Nurse needed for a 13‑week assignment in Springfield, MO.

Contract assignment – 13 weeks (temporary), 3x12 night shift, 36 hours per week, travel nursing.

Focus Staff seeks a registered nurse with Certified Neuro RN credentials to oversee the daily Neuro‑Patient Population and work closely with nursing leadership, neuro/neurosurgery physicians and extenders. The role involves identifying opportunities for improvement in patient education, processes, discharge and overall experience.

• BSN from an accredited program and valid RN license
• AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for health care providers
• At least 2 years of experience as a Neuro RN (Certified Neuro RN)
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families
• Motivated, career‑growth oriented, compassionate, sensitive, critical thinker, quick to act in emergencies

• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Assess learning needs of patients/families and provide appropriate education.
• Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel; precept student nurses and new hires as needed.
