900 East is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. We are also recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery. The unit features a mix of private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. While we do not offer telemetry or cardiac monitoring, the team provides high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Nurse Assistant ApprenticeshipJob Summary
Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. In the clinical learning environment, provides basic patient care under direction and supervision of the clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within their scope of practice as directed.
Reports changes in patient condition to the nursing staff or clinical educator. At the end of training, a competency assessment will validate learning.
