Job Description

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff, and report any changes in patient condition.

Overview Of Unit/Department

Cox Health is proud to be a Level I Stroke and Trauma Center. Our 800 Neuro-Ortho unit plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients with stroke, trauma, and neurosurgical conditions. It is a 26-bed unit with a fast-paced, dynamic environment, focused on teamwork, compassion, and growth. The patient population ranges from 18 to 102 years old.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Up to $1,800 Sign-On Bonus
  • Up to 24 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off

Nurse Assistant Training Program
  • Job Summary

Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, provides basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within scope of practice as directed. A competency assessment will be administered at the end of training to validate learning.

Job Requirements
  • Education:

    Preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience:

    Preferred prior patient care or health care related experience
  • Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, problem solving, multitasking, reliability
  • Licensure/Certification: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
Certified Nurse Assistant Program Details

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens, report patient condition changes. Requirements and experience as outlined in the Nurse Assistant Training Program above.
