Position: Nurse Supervisor RN - Specialty (Non-Exempt)

Overview

Mercy Chub O'Reilly Clinic - Cancer Center – Full-Time:

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the nursing staff, including supervising operations and addressing nursing practice issues.
  • Direct patient care functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with established nursing practice standards.
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians.
  • Assist the physician in the treatment of patients and complete related clinical paperwork.
  • Integrate Mercy’s philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and dignity, and Christian values into management and daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain a caring, friendly, personal, and professional approach in communication with patients, families, visitors, and employees.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure
    :
    Current, valid state Registered Nurse license.
  • Experience
    :
    Two years nursing experience required.
  • Certifications
    : CPR certification.
  • KSA
    :
    Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public. Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, to access information and enter clinical data.

    Equipment used: operate equipment normally related to the clinic’s specialty.
  • Preferred Experience
    :
    Supervisory experience preferred.
