Job Summary
:
The Staff Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination; conveys findings to physician; coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, attends inpatient rounds, and assists with referrals; supports physician with examinations, procedures, and other direct care processes; performs nursing administrative duties; acts as liaison and team leader;

explains routines and procedures; addresses system issues; delegates appropriately. Excellent communication, leadership, time management, and problem solving skills required.

Education
:

• Required:
  
  Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Experience
:

• Required:
  
  6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.

Skills
:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize work.
• Proficient computer skills.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
:

• Required:
  
  Current Registered Nurse License active in Missouri.
• Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: ACLS.
