RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be specified on submission form)

• 13-week assignment length

• Weekend hours as required by facility

• No call requirements

• Float on a rotational basis as needed

• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week

• Patient ratios vary - nights typically 1:6 to 1:7 (ratios not guaranteed)

• 32-bed unit caring for neurology, medical, and medical telemetry patients

• Work with telemetry equipment, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps

• Use EPIC electronic medical records system

• Dress code requires black scrubs only

• Must have 1 year of telemetry experience (inpatient only)

• Experience and competence in drug titration required

• Preferred: 1 year neurology experience (inpatient only)

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri

• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (may obtain prior to start)

• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

• Care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities

• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments

• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
