The Psychiatric Intervention Nurse develops advanced assessment skills and CABGenersed knowledge of a complex health system to help psychiatric patients obtain the care they need. The psychiatric intervention nurse cares for patients with behavioral health illnesses in an acute care setting, conducts intake interviews, assesses and evaluates the patient, and acts as a resource to the health care system for psychiatric needs.

• Education
  :
  Required – Graduate of an approved nursing program;
  Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience
  :
  Preferred – Previous psychiatric nursing experience
• Skills
  :
  Highly organized with the ability to work with a variety of patients in a fast‑paced environment;
  Strong focus on teamwork and ability to build collaborative relationships;
  Very customer friendly;
  Incorporates ongoing education in everyday practice
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  :
  Required – RN license active in the state of Missouri
