Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and report any changes in patient condition.
About the Unit900 East is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in postoperative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. It is recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery. The unit features private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. Telemetry or cardiac monitoring is not offered; the team emphasizes collaboration and patient-centered care.

Nurse Assistant ApprenticeshipJob Summary
Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, you will provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of the clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, duties may include taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within scope of practice as directed.
A competency assessment will be administered at the end of training to validate learning.

Prior patient care or health care related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- BLS must be obtained within 90 days
