Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Apprentice - Neuro - Night Shift

Position Title:

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Cox Health South – 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, MO 65807

Department: 1033 Neuro 800 West Tower South

Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 24 hrs/week)

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Duties include taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other tasks within scope of practice. Obtain patient condition information as requested by nursing staff and report any changes.

• Perform basic patient care tasks.
• Monitor patient condition; report changes.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care duties.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred).
• Experience:
  
  3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long‑term care setting, or completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within past 3 years.
• Experience:
  
  or completed “fundamentals of nursing” course with clinical experience in an accredited program;
  Must have Missouri CNA License.
• Licensure: BLS must be obtained within 90 days.

The 800 Neuro‑Orthopedic unit is a Level I Stroke and Trauma Center with 26 beds, serving a diverse patient population and operating in a fast‑paced, teamwork‑driven environment.
