This position is for nurses hired through our International Recruitment Program. Nurses who do not yet have their Missouri RN license will be hired into a Nurse Technician position while they work to obtain their Missouri license. Once they receive their Missouri RN license, they will move into an Experienced Nurse Resident position while they work through nursing orientation. Upon completing nursing orientation, the nurse will move into a regular Staff Nurse position.

Medical-Surgical Nurse Technician (Job Summary)Responsible for providing basic patient care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures under the direction of the nursing staff. Must be able to take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens, and other duties as assigned. Additional duties include providing patients and families with support and education. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes.
EducationRequired:
Graduate of an approved nursing program.
Required:
Minimum 1 year experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibits valuable time management skills.
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
- Required:
Must have passed NCLEX exam. - Required:
Must have obtained Missouri or Compact State license within 180 days of hire. - Required:
BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
Under supervision of a nurse, responsible for managing care of patients with general medical conditions or surgical procedures. Must assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide support and education to patients and families. Maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge to care for a diverse patient group.
Education (Resident)Required:
Graduate of an approved nursing program.
