Overview:
Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice, supporting physicians. Assists with patient treatment and completes clinical paperwork. Upholds the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respecting human life and dignity, and applying Christian values. Communicates with patients, families, visitors, and staff in a caring, friendly, and professional manner. Performs duties as assigned. Complies with all relevant regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school. Knowledge of nursing principles, patient care, examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures. Knowledge of medications, patient education, safety practices, and medical instruments.
- Licensure: Valid current state nursing license.
- Certifications: CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to assist with medical treatments, react calmly in emergencies, interpret guidelines, communicate effectively, and operate clinic equipment. Basic computer skills or ability to learn.
