Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Department Manager, the Warehouse Technician Associate I (WTA I) is responsible for maintaining locator accuracy records and updating key inventory related KPls for the Springfield French's plant. This role provides direction to the warehouse team regarding SOPs and locator accuracy standards and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
The WTA I will back‑fill the Warehouse Crew Leader as needed, assist with training warehouse and production operations, and serve as a subject‑matter resource for inventory accuracy and related processes.
Reponsibilites- Responsible for locator accuracy for all warehouse locations at the Springfield French's plant
- Maintains and reports all inventory‑related KPls and metrics
- Back‑fills for the Warehouse Crew Leader as needed
- Runs inventory‑related reports, either as the primary owner or as a backup when required
- Provides direction to plant team members regarding SOPs and locator accuracy standards
- Develops, documents, and trains SOPs related to locator accuracy and inventory control
- Participates in training and process improvement activities with production and warehouse teams
- Ensures that all activities follow documented operating procedures and recommends updates to existing procedures as required
- Facilitates inventory‑related meetings when needed
- Performs cycle counting duties as required
- Maintains housekeeping and sanitation standards for designated areas; ensures areas are tour‑ready at all times
- Adheres to food safety procedures and GMPs while ensuring a safe work environment
- Present findings and data in team and department meetings, offering improvement suggestions where appropriate
- Completes additional projects and duties as assigned by the Warehouse Department Manager
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse or production experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and repeatedly
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret documents written in English, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write complex reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group settings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization, as well as internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and function effectively as part of a team
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt to an environment with multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions
- Ability to work overtime on short notice with flexibility in start times
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent with MS Word and Excel and Power Point
