Industrial Maintenance Technician

POSITION BASED ON-SITE IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI!

paying really good per diem (7-days a week, at $170ea), whether working more than 40 hours or not.

We are seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team on the first shift in Southeast Missouri. Our company is a leading plastics manufacturer specializing in the thermoforming of plastic sheeting, primarily serving the medical device, aerospace, and automotive industries.

DO NOT NEED specific plastics experience, but manufacturing machine maintenance, and packaging experience are good fits.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Delta VFDs, heat elements, heat exchangers, Eurotherm controllers, and E-switches.
• Handle basic PLC troubleshooting, including Ladder Logic, but programming is not required.
• Operate and maintain 19 extruders across 7 production lines, adjusting line-ups based on demand.
• Oversee the operation of dust collectors, air handlers, and 37B Cumberland grinders.
• Utilize mechanical and electrical skills, particularly on 480V systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and manage scheduling using e-Mate.
• Respond to line calls and report to the production line as needed.
• Work primarily from 7:00am to 3:30pm with occasional overtime, and weekends as required.

• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance, including experience with VFDs, sensors, and HMIs.
• Capability in electrical wiring, control panels, and 3-phase motor systems, especially at 480V.
• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• True dual craft experience from an industrial plant.

• Mechanical versatility with the ability to wire up heaters on 240V and 480V systems.
• Familiarity with extrusion and plastics operations.

The work setting involves managing hot equipment with barrel and die heats reaching 400 degrees, though the environment remains comfortable during spring and fall, with heating and air conditioning available. Employees are required to wear safety gear, including bump caps, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes, while avoiding jewelry, hoods, and drawstrings. Personal toolboxes are recommended, and Fluke meters are provided, although personal tools are welcome.

This is a Contract position based out of Springfield, MO.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
