JOB TITLE: SALT ROOM OPERATOR

Description- Responsible for identifying correct formula instructions, identifying proper ingredients, and mixing them according to Kraft standards and directions.
- Days and shift times vary.
- Operates various scales and computing equipment to measure and regulate weights.
- Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area.
- Keeps records as required.
- Reports and/or corrects unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Must attend DDS meetings daily, 30 minutes prior to start of shift.
- Performs variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, pit stops, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.
- Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
- Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.
- Knowledge:
Basic math, reading and communication. - Working Environment:
Primarily indoors, wet humid conditions during sanitation.
- Able to acquire Fork Truck License.
- Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead.
- Lifts, carries, pushes, holds and grips objects.
- Climbs stairs, moves barrels up to 500 pounds, routinely lifts 50 pound bags.
- Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
