Epicor IT Specialist

Job Duties:

• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Epicor ERP modules to meet business requirements, ensuring scalable and robust system architecture.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Epicor ERP and other enterprise systems.
• Manage ETL processes for data migration, transformation, and synchronization across multiple databases including SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Oversee system administration tasks including user access management, system hardening, load balancing, and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
• Collaborate with solution architects to develop system design documents that align with enterprise IT infrastructure standards on platforms Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement system hardening measures to enhance cybersecurity posture in accordance with best practices for cloud security and information security.
• Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Git for efficient development cycles within an Agile environment.
• Participate in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities ensuring compliance with system architecture standards while fostering innovation through Dev Ops practices.

Skills:

• Extensive experience with Epicor ERP system configuration, customization, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture, and system design principles.
• Proficiency in database management systems such as SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL; familiarity with No
  
  SQL databases is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of IT infrastructure components including operating systems (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware/ESXi), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Expertise in web services development using RESTful APIs and SOAP; experience integrating third-party solutions like Salesforce or Pegasystems is highly desirable.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Shell Scripting, Bash; experience with Dev Ops tools like Jenkins or Git for CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices including vulnerability management, threat intelligence, system hardening techniques, firewalls, load balancing strategies, and network security protocols.
• Knowledge of enterprise systems engineering principles encompassing system architecture design for microservices environments using Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies within Agile frameworks; experience working in fast-paced environments that emphasize continuous improvement and collaboration.
