The Oasis Hotel & Convention Center is a full‑service property offering 173 guest rooms and over 30,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. The hotel hosts the Fire & Ice Restaurant & Bar, featuring Springfield’s only ice bar.

- Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and follow instructions from the Banquet Manager and/or Captain.
- Set up banquet rooms as instructed by the Banquet Captain, including table and chair placement, linen, service‑ware and glassware.
- Prepare furnishings and condiments, beverages, and other elements as needed for the event.
- Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Replenish beverages and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, maintaining health standards.
- Attend pre‑meal and post‑meal briefings as directed.
- Serve food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Banquet Captain to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
- Promptly bus dishes as guests finish each course or meal.
- Clean up after the function: clear tables, reorganize back‑aisle or staging areas, and store equipment and supplies away properly.
- Reset banquet rooms according to the Captain’s specifications to prepare for the next event.
- Complete any additional tasks for future banquet events as directed.
- Excellent communication, guest service and time management skills.
- Ability to organize, plan ahead and manage workload.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked environment.
- Positive, professional and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Dependable and energetic.
- Previous serving experience preferred, but not required.
- Bartending experience beneficial.
- Audio‑Visual experience beneficial.
- Flexible scheduling to meet business demands.
- Position requires constant standing and walking, frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs, and push/pull an average weight of 97 lbs.
- Must pass a job‑specific post‑offer physical prior to beginning employment with Oasis Hotel.
- Indoor working conditions in a fast‑paced environment.
Location:
Springfield, MO – $13.75 per hour. Post date: 2 months ago.
