What is this job all about?A Crisis Technician Supervisor provides support to individuals who have some form of Intellectual Disability/Developmental Disability as well as a Psychiatric/Behavioral Diagnosis, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders or Autistic Tendencies. These individuals are prone to poor social and communication skills, exhibiting impulsive behaviors, poor decision making, and verbal/physical aggression. Behavioral Observation and Assessment and Crisis Intervention and Prevention Skills are used on a daily basis.
Whatwill my day-to-day responsibilities look like?
The Crisis Technician Supervisor is the bridge between Crisis Technicians, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and day-to-day operations of Individual Supported living (ISL). You will encourage and mentor individuals and Crisis Technicians by supporting them in maximizing their full potential. The CTS role is involved in providing training and supports to all aspects of individuals life activities and to CTs working within their assigned clients' home (ISL).

- Behavioral care

- Management of personal funds
- Helping implement personal plans (the story of the individual you’re serving including their history, goals, and achievements)
- Implementing and communicating directives
- Maintaining necessary records and reports
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of a therapeutic environment (keeping their houses happy and cozy)

What do I need to be successful in this position?- Diploma from an accredited high school or equivalent required.
- At least three months’ experience providing direct assistance in the care, treatment and habilitation to individuals with developmental disabilities is required.
- Prior management experience recommended.
- Ability to work with and respect persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and other disabilities.
- Ability to work varied and flexible schedules and to accept and adapt to changes in assignments, methods, policies, etc.
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis, autism, developmental disabilities, and related disciplines pertinent to the assessment, treatment, and support of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other disabilities, coupled with a capacity for continual learning in these areas.
