Responsibilities

Occupational therapists assess and develop therapy plans to restore patients abilities to perform everyday tasks. Establishing measurable goals, OTs help patients develop skills needed for day-to-day activities, demonstrating specialized equipment, and educating families and caregivers. From hospitals and outpatient clinics to therapy centers and home health settings, OTs excel in planning, organizing, communication, and showing patience and flexibility. Requirements

• Valid professional license or registration as required by this state

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required
