Schedule
: 40 hours per week, 7:00am – 5:30pm, Day Shift

The MA III performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under the direct supervision of a supervisor or provider. Clinical duties include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information (including review of medication list), preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, stocking supplies, and administering medications.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Required as of 9/1/20:
  Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, basics of medication administration, and a clinical externship.

  Direct contact with people
• Preferred:
  Experience in a health care setting, especially an ambulatory clinic

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Capability to carry out delegated tasks under supervision of a provider
• Proficient computer skills

• Required:
  
  Certification or Registration from a Cox Health approved program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP.
