The MA III performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry into medical records under direct supervision. Clinical duties include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including medication list reviews, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, stocking supplies, and administering medications.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Required (effective 9/1/20):
  Completion of a formal MA training program that includes pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, basics of medication administration, and a clinical externship.

• Required:
  
  None.
• Preferred:
  Direct contact with people.
• Preferred:
  Experience in a health care setting, particularly an ambulatory clinic.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Can complete delegated tasks under supervisor/provider guidance.
• Proficient computer skills.

• Required:
  
  Certification or registration from a Cox Health-approved program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP.
