The Paramedic acts as the primary director of care in emergency and non-emergency situations, providing efficient and immediate care for patients. Responsibilities include examining, evaluating, and providing quick diagnoses to administer proper medical care; delivering basic medical support (CPR, AED, ventilation, hemorrhage control); performing invasive techniques to stabilize patients; documenting all aspects of care; and operating the ambulance under various road conditions to safely transport patients to medical facilities.
Education- Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Preferred:
Previous EMT experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- Calm and efficient under stress, making rapid decisions
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to follow instructions
- Familiar with age-specific patient needs
- Current Missouri licensure as E.M.T.
