MRI Technologist II -Montclair Radiology- Part time​/Evenings​/Weekends

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS.

• Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program
• Required
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area. BLS Basic Life Support
• Other: IV Insertion
  * Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge. Working Conditions, Mental and
  
  Physical Requirements:
  
  Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients. Continual standing or walking. Adapt to stressful situations.

  Bachelor degree
